Our preschool program is for 3-year olds turning 4. We provide a foundational environment where students cultivate independence, learn the importance of taking turns, develop problem-solving abilities, and foster a love for learning. Our program emphasizes "whole-child" development focusing on four core areas of development - Social and Emotional Development, Early Literacy and Language Skills, Cognitive Development, and Physical Development (Motor Skills). To be a successful classroom, we also teach school etiquette, listening and following simple directions, standing in line, basic manners (please & thank you are important!), sharing, kindness, patience, independence, and more.

We encourage learning using a variety of styles including play-based activities, interactive movement, sensory play, hands-on activities, group discussion, and critical thinking.

Curriculum is derived from Kindergarten teachings adapted to an age appropriate application for preschool. We start with basics such as shape & color recognition, introductory learning of letters & numbers, proper use of classroom tools - crayons, markers, scissors, glue, etc. Projects focus on creativity, movements, and activities which support development of important motor skills. Simplistic skills such as problem solving, patterning, sequencing, and more are thoughtfully incorporated into lessons.

Students thrive with structure therefore we follow a daily schedule!

Preschool incorporates several Special Event days throughout the year where a family member is invited to join their student in the classroom. We host both a Holiday and a Graduation program where the whole family is invited to watch their students' class perform!

Occasionally we schedule parent-accompanied offsite field trips. Preschool goes to the Pumpkin Patch, Skagit Children's Museum, and our annual end of year picnic at Freedom Park.
